Vaasu develops and manages global strategic accounts at Yahoo! Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, he works both with the APAC regional advertising sales and marketplaces team and the US Global team to deliver cross-border campaigns across Yahoo!‟s APAC network.

He is a pioneer in the Internet industry and has built two startups in the early part of his career. An entrepreneur and an adman at heart, Vaasu has conceptualised and delivered integrated brand communication campaigns and experiences across the digital divide in the most diverse countries over the last two decades. Vaasu has worked extensively with Interpublic agencies on some of the world‟s most recognised consumer brands including Unilever, Danone, J&J, MasterCard, Nestle, Lufthansa, Ferrero, Panasonic, and Boots (UK).

Prior to joining Yahoo!, Vaasu managed a WPP agency where he was responsible for leading the agency and managing its profitability. He was an „intrapreneur‟ for Y&R 2.1, a pioneering unit of Young & Rubicam that pioneered the integration of both digital and ATL ( Above-The-Line Advertising) in a single agency format. He setup one of the three pilot global offices in Singapore and he was instrumental delivering profits in the very first year of its operations.

Vaasu was instrumental in the creation of “The Global Effies” which was inaugurated in 2008 in Singapore. He maintains his passion for marketing and advertising through his commitment in academic institutions, industry associations and events. A regular speaker at the Singapore Management University, NTU and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Vaasu has participated in their advisory boards. He currently sits on the advisory board of the APAC CMO Council and was recently the conference chair for the 'Wharton Business School's Future of Advertising' Roundtable in India.

Vaasu graduated from Yale in Management. He is married to Leena and has twin daughters Valena and Venya.
