IMMAP's Breakfast RoundTable Delivers One-of-a-Kind Learning Experience

James Deakin will be BRT 4's Guest of Honor

As part of its mandate to elevate local digital practice, the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP), launched its latest learning series, The IMMAP Breakfast RoundTable (BRT), which gives marketers the unique opportunity to engage directly with industry leaders over a casual breakfast setting.

The latest edition, set for September 23, will feature TV and events host, motoring expert, and award-winning journalist James Deakin, who will answer participants' questions in the no-holds barred session.

Open only to IMMAP members and with a limited number of seats allotted, participants take part in a (virtual) roundtable conversation where they can ask the Guest of Honor absolutely anything. In return, the Guest answers with their honest, unfiltered opinions, hot takes, and insights.

Kicking things off in the inaugural BRT back in March was Angkas Chief Transport Advocate George Royeca, who dished on everything from the founding of the ride share mainstay and their innovations during the pandemic, to their often- hilarious social media content.

For the second session, Kumu co-founder Roland Ros took center stage, gamely fielding questions on just how his video-based social platform was able to become one of the biggest Philippine apps in the world in a short span of time.

The most recent session featured UnionBank EVP and Chief Experience Officer Ana Aboitiz Delgado, who shared her insights on leading UnionBank to holding the crown of "Digital Bank of the Year" for a record four years year in a row by The Asset Triple A - the first and only Philippine bank to receive this honor.

With the pandemic forcing companies to rethink the way they do business, IMMAP is dedicated to ensuring that its members have access to consistent, relevant learning opportunities, data, and technology to ensure that digital transformation is an ongoing process.

As an added bonus, all IMMAP BRT participants and guests are treated to a sumptuous breakfast, delivered straight to their homes by event sponsors such as Pancake House and Jollibee.

According to Membership Committee co-chair Janelle Barretto, also the mainstay host for the series, an advantage of keeping the BRT attendance small, is, “Both guests and participants get to be themselves in a way that you wouldn’t necessarily see in a big conference or panel discussion. And of course, having a good breakfast in front of them puts everyone in a good mood!”
